I have to give Tim and ton of credit for this post. He took the time to research a great place for us to stay a few days to camp, fish and catch up with his brother in southwestern CO. He found Sweetwater River Ranch, it was awesome! It reminded me in a hurry how completely beautiful the state of Colorado is. I really do hope we can live in this state at some point in or out of our military career.

Camping on the Arkansas River
Swetsville Zoo
We knew we needed to do some school clothes shopping for Micah while we were gone and decided to head to Ft. Collins. After shopping we decided to go to a place that google pulled up when I searched for free things to do. We ran across a place called Swetsville Zoo, it was a Zoo of used car and machine parts made into figurines. It was pretty impressive that someone had the creativity and patience to create all these different things. I think the boys enjoyed it, other then the heat.
My Grandma's
One of the main reasons for our trip to WY was to see both my Grandma's. Their health has been up and down and now mostly poor. My grandma on my mom's side has still been able to live at home but my other grandma recently was put in full-time nursing home care. I went and saw her with just my dad, Tim and I weren't too sure about the boys visiting the nursing home. I'm glad I left them behind because even I was shocked at how it is to be in a nursing home. It was beyond depressing for me. I think I cried on and off the whole time we were there, I was emotionally drained the rest of that day. I hope to live a long healthy life, but hope my final days or months aren't spent in a nursing home.

Rockies vs. Phillies
My friend Brianna and her family were also at the game, we got to meet up for a quick picture. After the game we went to their house and it was great catching up. It's was so nice to spend time with her, their family has been through so much the last several years and it was great to see her in person and see how she is. My boys thoroughly enjoyed playing with her son Drew.
A stop over in Vegas
On the drive out we stopped over in Vegas. We quickly got a taste of summertime temps while there. We stayed at a RV resort, it was so nice! It had a HUGE pool that we basically had the whole time to ourselves. Noah was jumping into the pool left and right, he's completely fearless. Micah is still his cautious little self but enjoys making up games in the pool for us to play as a family. One day we walked the "strip" and luckily saw nothing interesting to have to explain to the boys, phew!
Three week vacation.
Since Tim works in such a small shop we had to wait our turn to earn a decent amount of leave this year. We knew we needed to get to WY in the near future because both of my Grandma's are in poor health. We spent ten days in WY, visiting friends and family and enjoying some actual summertime temps.
The drive was much more enjoyable because we towed our camper behind us and had food, potty and supplies all along the route. We ended up driving a total of 3700 miles after it was all said and done, I drove about 25 of those miles:). Tim wanted me to give it a try. I am extremely thankful Tim is such a calm, good driver.
