Champange Lakes

This post is beyond delayed and I intend to update the blog more frequently. We have a lot coming up that I will include on the blog. We leave soon on a trip to WY. We're towing our camper behind us to camp along the way. We get to finally see the Grand Canyon on our trip back towards CA, very excited for that.

Thanks for checking in on our family adventures.Grandma Sherry taking the kids for a walk.

Cabin Fever has officially set in. Apparently, CA is getting the most rain it has gotten since 2005, (before we moved here) and we are getting pounded with a ton of rain. Tim's parents got here late on Thursday night so that helped in warding off cabin fever for a bit. The boys got to open their presents from them and they both got some great things, one of which was the game Qwirkle. It's a strategy game and says it's for ages 6 and up. For the first 25 mins or so, us age 28 and up players were clueless as to if we were even playing it correctly. We all caught on eventually and it's easily my new favorite family game now. We also got to go up to San Luis Obispo and see Tim's Aunt Mandy and Poppa again before he gets to move to a veteran's living community up north. It was a great time and we ended the night with a long game of Qwirkle. Luckily, since Tim's parents left Micah's been awesome entertaining himself with the Wii, which he hadn't played in months but now loves again, (he's pretty darn good at tennis)!

Today Micah went to the Dr for his throat and sinus issues he has. He was pretty fired up at us because he had to have his blood drawn for allergies. The doctor thinks he has allergies due to the look of his throat and how it's always raw and red. We also have to bite the bullet and have his tonsils out. Not sure when that'll take place but we hope it helps with his sleep apnea and snoring issues he's had for a long time now.

Sorry this is such and long blog, I was getting a bit behind. I hope this time of year finds you all surrounded with good friends and family. I'd take some snow over all this rain;o) And I must say....Internet shopping rocks! We were all talking and I realized, this year we didn't buy one single Christmas gift in a store. What a joy:O)

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Noah, the blue-nosed reindeer....

Noah was playing in the garage with Micah and the little neighbor girl Kiki with sidewalk chalk and this is what the end result was for Noah Bear! He's so funny. He's been talking non-stop lately, it can be so funny and at the same time leave me wondering where my baby is?!

Christmas Tree

We put up the Christmas tree tonight and the boys had a great time helping hang ornaments. Before we got started Micah told us, "its just so exciting!" They both are enjoying the Christmas season so far and Noah loves to wear his little Santa hat all around.

Getting in the Christmas Spirit.

I took some pictures of the house with the Christmas lights up. It's been pretty cold as far as cold weather goes for CA so that's helping make it feel more like Christmastime now. Lately, both boys have been singing their own little versions of Christmas songs, I think Micah has been working on a few with his teacher and classmates. Tim and I are both real excited to see their reaction on Christmas morning once Santa has made his arrival. It seems the older we get as parents, the more we realize Christmas is for the children, they make it so much fun. We also look forward to teaching the boys each year they get older the true reason for the season.

Thanksgiving in San Diego

Today we left for San Diego prepared to hit a ton of traffic once we got on the 405 and I'm pleased to say.....we hit none:O) Today we were lazy, (which was wonderful) and tomorrow we will eat a ton and be happy with family. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones and if not with loved ones with wonderful friends.
